Inżynier Konstruktor / Mechanical CAD Engineer

Job description

• 3D design of electric motor components, including rotors, stators, housings, motor bells, shafts, and other mechanical components.
• Development and optimization of mechanical designs for UAV applications.
• Preparation of detailed technical documentation and manufacturing drawings for CNC machining.
• Selection of materials, taking into account manufacturing technologies and required tolerances.
• Performing structural calculations and basic mechanical strength analyses.
• Collaboration with engineers specializing in electromagnetics, electronics, manufacturing, and research and development (R&D).
• Preparing designs for prototyping and serial production.
• Analyzing prototypes and implementing design improvements based on test results.
• Using topology optimization and generative design to reduce component weight while maintaining the required strength and stiffness.
• Using Generative Design and topology optimization tools in Fusion 360 or SolidWorks as part of the daily design process.
• Using AI-powered tools to accelerate technical research, design iterations, documentation, and problem-solving.
• Continuously identifying opportunities to automate and improve the mechanical design workflow.

Artificial Intelligence and Generative Design

Practical experience in topology optimization / generative design is mandatory.

These technologies will be used to:

• Reduce the weight of motor components without compromising the required strength.
• Optimize the geometry of motor bells, housings, rotors, and other structural components.
• Create and compare different design alternatives more quickly.
• Prepare optimized geometries for CNC machining.
• Accelerate the process: concept → modeling → optimization → prototype → testing.

Requirements

• Professional experience in mechanical design / mechanical engineering.
• Strong practical experience with 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks and/or Fusion 360.
• Proven experience designing mechanical components for manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with Topology Optimization / Generative Design is mandatory.
• Experience using Generative Design or topology optimization specifically in Fusion 360 or SolidWorks.
• Understanding of mechanical strength, stiffness, loads, tolerances, and materials.
• Experience preparing technical drawings and documentation for CNC machining.
• Ability to design lightweight components while maintaining required mechanical performance.
• Understanding of manufacturing technologies and DFM principles.
• Analytical and engineering mindset.
• Willingness to actively use AI-powered tools in everyday engineering work.
• English sufficient for technical documentation and communication.

Nice to have:

• Experience designing electric motor components.
• Experience with rotors, stators, motor housings, bells, shafts, bearings, or similar components.
• Experience in UAV / drone / robotics / aerospace industries.
• Knowledge of CNC machining and practical manufacturing constraints.
• Experience with FEA/FEM structural analysis.
• Python or other programming skills for design automation.
• Experience integrating AI/ML tools into engineering workflows.
• Experience taking products from initial concept through prototype and serial production.
